They say New York City is our second home, but we must confess, Paris comes close in contention. There’s something magical about Paris that draws us back again and again–whether for work or just to soak in its beauty. We visit the city so often for Fashion Weeks, collaborations, and creative inspiration, yet every time, it still manages to blow our minds. The architecture, the charming cobblestone streets and the elegance of the Seine winding through the city—Paris is simply breathtaking. Whether it’s the delicate intricacies of the buildings or the unparalleled vibrancy of the local culture, it’s a city that never fails to inspire. Every corner feels like a postcard, and every visit reminds us why Paris is such a muse for so many. From the iconic Eiffel Tower shimmering at night to the artistic spirit that permeates every café and atelier, it’s a place that feels both timeless and endlessly modern.
This time around, our visit to Paris was strictly for work, filled with back-to-back meetings and a much-anticipated editorial shoot. The shoot took place on the iconic streets of Paris, a city that naturally lends itself to fashion. There’s something about the architecture, the bustling energy, and the effortless chic of Parisians that makes it the perfect backdrop for our street-luxe edit. The cobblestone streets, lined with stylish cafés and grand Haussmann buildings, set the stage beautifully for the shoot. Paris exudes an inherent high-street fashion vibe, where luxury meets everyday wear in the most organic way. Our edit, which encapsulates bold patterns, sleek silhouettes, and a fearless approach to style, truly came to life against this iconic urban landscape. The fusion of the city’s classic beauty with our contemporary designs created an aesthetic that felt both timeless and cutting-edge, capturing the essence of street luxe in a way only Paris could. From bustling avenues to quiet corners, every shot echoed the vibe of high-fashion that effortlessly blends with the everyday life in this extraordinary city. Towards the end of our shoot, just as we were wrapping up the final shots, we had a little mishap—one of those moments where the beauty of Paris’s cobbled streets caught Falguni off guard, and she ended up taking a fall. It was one of those unexpected moments where everything seemed to slow down, but thankfully, it was more of a tumble than anything serious. For a brief second, the team rushed over, concerned, but she wasn’t going to let a small fall disrupt the momentum of the shoot. Paris has a way of energising you, and in that moment, we quite literally bounced back—both physically and mentally. Dusting herself off, she jumped right back into action, taking charge of the shoot as if nothing had happened. The energy on set was palpable, and she wasn’t about to let a little accident dull that spirit. In fact, it fuelled her even more–pushing us to finish the shoot with renewed focus and determination. Sometimes, these little moments remind you of the passion and drive behind every project, and this was no different. We continued capturing the essence of the street-luxe edit, and the entire team left the shoot with a sense of accomplishment, proving that nothing could deter our spirit, not even a stumble on the charming streets of Paris.
Even though this trip to Paris was mostly about work, the little play part came courtesy of none other than Beyoncé. Yes, the global icon was in Paris and had graciously extended an invitation to us to attend the exclusive launch of her whiskey brand, SirDavis American Whisky. As Paris Fashion Week reached its dazzling climax, she extended an exclusive invitation to attend the launch of her whiskey brand. At the breathtaking Hôtel Plaza Athénée, Beyoncé, in partnership with Moët Hennessy, threw one of the most talked-about soirées in the City of Light. The atmosphere was nothing short of electric. Dripping in gold and radiating her iconic energy, Beyoncé, alongside Jay-Z and members of the influential Arnault family, hosted a night that will forever be etched in our memory. The guest list read like a who’s who of the fashion and entertainment world—Lori Harvey, Alton Mason, Natalie Portman, Riccardo Tisci, and Laura Harrier, to name just a few. The fusion of fashion, luxury, and celebration was unmatched, with everyone coming together to toast Beyoncé’s latest venture into the spirit world. Being able to celebrate with such icons, in such an extraordinary city, felt like the perfect way to wrap up our time in Paris. It was an evening where the magic of Paris, the excitement of fashion, and the sparkle of Beyoncé’s brilliance, all came together.
And with that, we called it our work-meets-play trip to Paris and headed back home the next morning with a wish to come back sooner than later and soak in the beauty of it like it’s our first time all over again!
