Expanding its charm to the southwestern coast of Mahé Island, the LVMH-owned hospitality brand Cheval Blanc is opening a new luxury resort in the Seychelles! Yes, you heard it right! From autumn 2024, travellers arriving on Seychelles’s largest island can stay at the luxurious haven boasting the azure waters of the Indian Ocean and the premium allure of Cheval Blanc hospitality. This new resort in the picturesque Seychelles is LVMH’s sixth Cheval Blanc Maison. Cheval Blanc’s five other properties lie in Paris, St. Tropez, St. Barth, Maldives and Courchevel. Crafted by renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy, the newest Cheval Blanc is an ode to Creole traditions and pays homage to the island’s natural surroundings.
The all-new Maison offers 52 villas spanning 220 to 1,950 square metres, each with a private swimming pool, and beautiful beachfront, hillside, or tropical jungle views. Inside each villa, works by the Madagascan artist Joël Andrianomearisoa have been installed. Artistic pieces celebrating luxuriant nature adorn the pastel-hued walls of the Maison. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the majestic sculpture Centauresse by Prune Nourry, which rises from a pond among the banyan trees.
For culinary delight, the five-part masterpieces of Cheval Blanc—Mizumi, the Asian restaurant by the lake; Vivamento, the Italian place facing the pool; Sula, the Mediterranean beach club by the ocean, Le 1947, an emblematic French gastronomic restaurant, and Le White—the brand’s signature, will all serve the best dining experience to discerning guests. Vivamento gets the enhanced Italian touch with a glazed ceramic fresco by young ceramist Maximilien Pelle that celebrates a grand Etruscan banquet. Similarly, each of the dining spots has been designed using unique art.
To pamper guests at the soon-to-be-unveiled Seychelles Maison, Cheval Blanc also offers a collection of Guerlain well-being rituals at the Spa Cheval Blanc. And, guests can also enjoy the bliss with a pool, pump up the fun in the fitness room, catch a wave on the surf simulator, re-energize on the tennis courts, and paddle to victory on the padel courts.
