MUMBAI WELCOMES INDIA’S FIRST-EVER WORLD OF ILLUSIONS—PARADOX MUSEUM

For a day filled with fun and some visually striking pictures, Mumbai’s Paradox Museum is a treat!

The city of dreams has just welcomed a new attraction that’s sure to leave visitors scratching their heads and questioning reality. Paradox Museum, which has been a smashing success worldwide in the likes of London, Paris, Las Vegas, Shanghai has finally opened its door in India. For people who find museums stuffy and boring, this place is definitely definition altering. Unlike the traditional museums, Paradox is a fun and interactive experience for all ages! India’s very first Paradox Museum is located in Mumbai’s Fort area. Brimming with mind-boggling illusions and stunning visual effects, the Paradox Museum is a must-visit for all who seek unique experiences.

Ms Nadia Roditi, the Chief Operating Officer of Paradox Museum, at the launch event shares her excitement on expanding the museum’s  global footprint and finally entering India.  She says, “I’m super excited, because it’s our first in India. Till now, we have been in the US, we’ve been in Europe and now it’s time to bring all the fun here—to India. We’re looking forward to it, you know, it’s not just a city, it’s Mumbai, you know, it’s the Metropolitan—the hub of innovation, history, culture, the whole lot. So we’re very happy (that) we’re here.”

The Paradox museum is a treasure trove of interactive exhibits that challenge our perception of the world. The Mumbai edition of the Paradox Museum showcases over 55 unique exhibits and 15 immersive rooms offering an unparalleled array of visually striking appearance. It very artfully merges science, art and psychology to deliver a captivating experience. On entering this Paradoxical world, you will hop on a journey that is beyond reality. The different-themed rooms with their interesting props ignite curiosity in you. Offering a fun photo opportunity to keep your social media handles flashing, the Zero Gravity room and the Paradox tunnel is a must.

To offer a local flair to the whole experience, the Paradox Museum has added the Bazaar area and a Palace Room that showcases the regal splendour of some of India’s grand palaces. In that room you can admire the grand City Palace of Jaipur and explore the Royal heritage of Mysore Palace.

“Visitors are going to experience everything that our other establishments offer worldwide and a little more. You know, we have added a little bit of a local element here in Mumbai and look forward to exhibiting more as we gel down here. We have collaborated with some artists from worldwide and are working on some based cultural activation,” Ms Nadia, COO Paradox Museum adds as she talks about the new inclusions in the museum.

The Paradox Museum is not just a place for fun; it’s also an educational experience that explores the fascinating world of perception and cognitive science. Visitors will learn about the psychology behind illusions and the ways in which our brains can be deceived. The experience of the museum is all about values, enhancing curiosity in individual beings and making the visitors think about it. All the illusions are based on science and people who encounter them will think about ‘what really happened here’ Nadia adds as she sheds light on the whole affair.

On expanding the presence of Paradox Museum, Ms Nadia says, “We are definitely planning to open more museums in different cities of India and are already working on it.” Giving a little hint on the next destination of the world of illusions, she says, ‘It’s Hyderabad—however I cannot disclose more.”

The world of illusions—the Paradox Museum opens for the public from October 4th onwards and if you’re a curious individual or just looking for a fun outing in Mumbai, it is a picture perfect spot.
